In Line Birectional Deflagration Flame Arresters
This category includes devices capable of stopping conflagration confined to a tube (in both directions), whose flame front moves at a subsonic speed.
Limits of use: The ratio between the length of the pipe (between the ignition point and the flame arrestor) and the diameter of the pipe must not exceed the test report: Li / D = 50 (straight line).
Other limitations of use for this category of flame arresters are prescribed by EN ISO 16852-2016.

With this option flame arresters are also certified for "short time burning".
